Classification of circuit boards

According to the number of layers, single-sided, double-sided, and multi-layer circuit boards are classified according to the circuit layer inside.

The first is a single-sided circuit board. On a typical circuit board, the components are on one side of the board, and the line is on the other side. Because there is only one side of the line, we call this type of circuit board a single panel. The production of single-panel is generally very simple and low-cost, but it can only be used for simple electronic products. For more complex electrical appliances, single-panel cannot be used.

Then there is the double-panel, which is called double-panel, of course, because it is a two-sided circuit. When one product is not able to meet normal use, the double-sided or multi-sided circuit board is needed to satisfy it. The double-sided circuit connects the two-sided lines through the copper holes, so that the different lines are divided into different network connections to meet the needs of the product.

Finally, there is a multi-layer circuit board, which refers to a circuit having three or more layers in the board. The conductive pattern layer is separated by an insulating material between each two sides, and then is formed by pressing. Multi-layer boards are widely used in complex electronic products to provide high capacity, high speed and versatility.

According to the nature of the board material

Can be divided into soft board, hard board. There are also soft and hard boards. The soft board is made of toughness, just like a plastic case. The hard board is hard and hard to break or fold. The soft and hard bonding board is a softer and harder material, and is a combination of a soft board and a hard board.

It is also possible to pass the board against strong light, and the multi-layer board will not transmit light, and the single and double panel light will pass through the board. Then single panel, because there is only one side of the line. All vias are copper-free, whereas double-panel and multi-layer boards can be made of copper.

The most essential distinction is the number of layers in the line.

Circuit board hole attribute distinction

The single panel has only one side of the line, and the holes inside are non-metallized holes, which do not need to be plated during the board making process.

In the double-sided and multi-layer boards, the holes in the inside are divided into metallized holes and non-metallized holes, which need to be plated in the production of the board.

Circuit board application

What kind of things will use the circuit board? General household and common electronic products, electrical appliances, such as mobile phones, televisions, computers, kitchen induction cookers, rice cookers, range hoods, and some chargers, remote controls, and high-end. Precision aircraft, missiles, automotive equipment, medical equipment, military equipment, etc. The circuit board application is normal in the product to adjust the speed, control time, display and other functions. Not all electrical appliances must use circuit boards, such as ordinary hot water bottles, just by electric heating to boil water, all do not need to use the circuit board.

Normally, when we use the circuit board, how to choose a simple single or double panel or a multi-layer board, it is necessary to take into account the function and requirements of the product. The higher the product requirements, the more the cost of the circuit board. The design of the circuit board will involve various functions such as signal anti-interference, circuit layout, and EMC.

With the development of technology, the requirements for electronic products are getting higher and higher. Because the application range of single and double panels is small, only for simple products, can not meet the needs of the times, so it will take into account the functionality of the multi-layer circuit board. Multilayer boards are used today in a wide range of electronic products because of their high economic performance and stable circuit performance. A brief description of the method and application of the number of layers of the circuit board, which may be somewhat incomplete and specific, but still hope to let everyone know and help.
